See if you can spot Sticky, our steenbok, along with several tortoises of various sizes in the bushland! Ikamu's Lodge offers incredible birdwatching at the waterhole, and there are also several fish ponds scattered across the property.

Discover Germiston

Germiston is a small city in the East Rand region of Gauteng, founded during the early days of the gold rush when prospectors John Jack and August Simmer discovered gold on their farm, Elandsfontein. In 1921, it became home to the world’s largest gold refinery, the Rand Refinery. Today, Germiston is an industrial hub, and our lodge sits in an agricultural area known as Norton Small Farm, with a yard measuring just 8,550 square meters!
